HOW YOU WILL BE AFFECTED:
MCK road crews under contract with the City of American Canyon have scheduled road resurfacing operations that may affect your normal parking and driving habits. "No Parking" signs will be posted at least 72 hrs in advance of each workday to notify you of planned dates of construction. On those dates, construction crews may appear at any time. Therefore, please make sure that your car is not parked in the posted roadway between the hours shown on the sign.

During Paving operations, anticipate travel lanes to be reduced to a single lane for each direction.  Traffic will be handled using construction signs, flaggers, and traffic control devices.  Signs and barricades will be posted at construction limits to direct traffic during working hours.  Delays are to be expected but not to exceed 10 minutes.

YOU WILL HAVE TWO OPTIONS FOR PARKING:

1)         Park in Driveway or Garage

You may choose to park in your garage or driveway, but you must expect possible delays and/or rough, difficult driving surfaces. Delays are uncommon, and when they occur, are usually less than 10 minutes. Most people who choose this option experience little or no inconvenience.

2)         Park on Nearby Street Not Designated for Construction on the Same Day

If you cannot afford to be delayed, or if you object to driving under adverse road conditions, you should plan to park on another nearby street not posted for work, and walk between your house and car. Unfortunately, due to many unforeseen conflicts that occur routinely, we cannot guarantee that the work will occur on the date scheduled.

EFFECT ON OTHER SERVICES (GARBAGE PICK-UP, MAIL, ETC.):
You should not expect any change in scheduled dates for delivery or pick-up services (mail, garbage collection, etc.) Although delivery times may change, dates will not be affected. Residents will be notified by flyer of any exceptions.
