Q. Where is Recology-American Canyon located?
A. 2021 Broadway in Vallejo.
Q. What does 2 cubic yards look like?
A. 2 cubic yards is 6ft wide, 3 ft deep, and 3 ft high. See image below.
Q. How can apartment and mobile home park residents participate?
A. Apartment complexes and some mobile home parks are not eligible for a bulky item curbside pick-up. Check with your management office for an additional bulky item drop-off coupon.
Q. When scheduling a Bulky Item Collection will Recology American Canyon ask what material I wish to set out?
A. Yes. Recology strategically schedules Bulky Item Collections based on material collected.
Q. Do you accept tires with rims?
Final Sweep Information
• Small Appliances (e.g. hair dryers, microwaves, toasters, etc.)
Anything with a cord or battery operated will be accepted, however the items on the Not Accepted list are hazardous waste and cannot be handled at this event. If an accepted item has batteries or a lightbulb, it’s fine if those are in the item (like a lightbulb in a lamp), we just can’t accept them loose.
Not Accepted: (all of these items can be taken to Recology 8AM-4PM Thur Fri Sat all month long, including Final Sweep Day on 9/30)
• Large household appliances (refrigerators, stoves, etc)
• Smoke Detectors
• Hazardous waste (take to Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility at Devlin – add hours and note for 9/30)
• Passenger Car tires
• Bicycle tires
• Motorcycle tires
• No tires over 46 inches in diameter
• No more than 9 tires per trip
