In 2013 - 2014 the City went through a very comprehensive process to create a new Community Vision and a Strategic Plan to help achieve the vision. Through workshops, community meetings, special events, surveys, and focus groups over 1,200 community members provided input. Using the information the City Council crafted the following components of the Strategic Plan.
