Fire Explorer: Continuous Recruitment
The Explorer Scout Program is designed for young adults 14-21 with an interest in the fire service. Explorer Scouts are trained in basic fire service duties including suppression, but are not allowed to perform these duties under emergency conditions. Explorers are allowed to contribute on emergency scenes, in non-hazardous areas, and during daily duties. The members of the Post meet twice a month (every 1st and 3rd Sunday) to train on various aspects of firefighter related skills and develop their knowledge of the requirement so become a firefighter. In addition, Explorers frequently volunteer for community service related activities.
If you are interested in becoming an Explorer, please "click here" and fill out an application. Please return all applications to Martha Banuelos at mbanuelos@amcanfire.com.
