The City of American Canyon is home to 5 mobilehome parks with a total of approximately 850 mobilehome spaces.
In 1994 the City Council approved a Mobilehome Rent Stabilization Ordinance (MHRSO) to address the potential conflict that can arise when mobilehome residents need and desire the space rent to remain stable and affordable balanced with the mobilehome park owners right to earn a resonable rate of return on their property investment.
Between 2009 and 2011 an extensive revision process was conducted by a City Council appointed 13 member task force that included park residents, park owners, experts from related fields and elected officials. The MHRSO was revised on September 6, 2011. A copy of the current ordinance can be found HERE. Following are some additional documents that may be helpful.
