The City of American Canyon Parks and Recreation Department
provides a wide array of aquatic programs at the Phillip West Aquatic Center, located at 100 Benton Way. Many of the aquatic programs are held on a year-round basis. The pool water is heated to 82°.
The Aquatic Center includes a six-lane 25 yard swimming pool, a wading pool that is operated in the summer months, outdoor showers, restrooms and dressing rooms.
Aquatic programs that offered at the Phillip West Aquatic Center include the following:

Open Swim (Public swimming and water play for the entire family.)

Swim Lessons (Age 3 through adults, Parent and Me class for ages 6 months through 2 years old)

Water Aerobics (Low and no impact exercise for adults age 18 and older.)

Kids in Motion (Ages 6-18)

Ahi Swim Team (The Ahi Swim Team is for youth ages 6-18. The Ahi Swim Team is non-profit organization run by parents and volunteers, not the City of American Canyon.)

Lifeguard Training Class and Water Safety Instructor Class (These Red Cross classes that qualify individuals to be a lifeguard and swim instructor are offered once or twice per year.)
