To better serve their customers, Comcast will have its contractor, CableCom, working to expand service capabilities in American Canyon. Work will begin on James between Crawford and Donaldson, then down Donaldson/Benton to Wetlands Edge, then up Wetlands Edge to Spikerush Circle. There will be a secondary work site at Theresa & Los Altos. This work will require a large number of workers conducting overhead and underground cable pulling. They will also have quite a bit of equipment, such as bucket trucks & spool trucks. Watch for traffic control and closed sidewalks in these areas.
Message from Comcast:
This work will cause interruptions to our service for a short period of time while we activate new equipment. However, we do that work during our maintenance window so that the interruptions have the least impact to our customers. That window occurs between midnight and 6 AM, which is when we see the lowest usage of our services. The interruptions are unavoidable however once the work is completed our customers, your residents, will see immediate improvement in their services from a capacity relief standpoint. These capacity issues are a direct result from the shelter in place order, and why this emergency work is needed for us to get services running at fully optimized conditions.
