Full Multiple Day Closure of Green Island Road
May 29 – June 1, 2020 and June 5-9, 2020
The railroad crossings on Green Island Road are scheduled to be replaced as part of the Green Island Road Reconstruction and Widening Project. These replacements necessitate a full closure of all lanes on Green Island Road between Paoli Loop and Commerce Boulevard.
The closure will take place over two weekends.
• Friday, May 29, 2020, at 5PM through Monday, June 1, 2020, at 9 AM
• Friday, June 5, 2020, at 5 PM through Monday, June 8, 2020, at 9 AM
During these closures, a detour will be set up on Commerce Boulevard between Eucalyptus Drive and Green Island Road. No truck or delivery vehicle traffic will be permitted on this detour, ONLY local residents and employees in personal vehicles. We apologize for any inconvenience. Beginning May 4, 2020 - A PG&E contractor will be working at Benton and Newbury. The purpose of the work is to repair the street light in front of the Boys and Girls Club. The Contractor will trench across Benton to the corner of Newbury and continue down the sidewalk to the electrical box just past 252 Newbury. There will be periodic one way traffic controls in place and when necessary the sidewalk will be closed. Please look for signs and watch for workers.

The City of American Canyon has contracted with Vintage Contractors for the 18-19 Annual Public Facilities Renovation Project. This project consists of the repair and replacement of approximately 11,700 square footage of plexipave slip-sheet overlay system and acrylic play surface for Basketball Court at both Elliott Park located at 2234 Elliott Drive and 13,200 square footage of plexipave slip-sheet overlay system and acrylic play surface at Elliott Park Tennis Courts located at 2234 Elliott Drive in American Canyon.
Working hours are 7 AM – 7 PM, Monday through Friday. Residents may experience noise from the site. The tennis and basketball courts will be closed as late as June 15, 2020.
